Monkey Sock FIVE Information

Stay tuned for Monkey Sock Swap FIVE information!

Our fifth round will be a FALL swap with signups starting sometime in September.

I'm tossing around some ideas on how to spice things up a bit. My drawer is getting full of Monkey Socks and I'm thinking that it might be time to try out our Cookie A. patterns. What do you guys think about surprising your next Monkey Pal with a pair of socks using one of your Cookie A. patterns in one of her favorite colors? We can always have the 'Monkey Sock' option for those not wishing to knit or receive anything other than the original pattern.

I think the Monkey Package should still have the requisite monkey pressies..........what else should it have?

I would love to have your thoughts on what you would like so please drop me an email.

I hope you enjoy your summer! My summer is full of wedding excitement. My firstborn is getting married and my secondborn is moving back home.

Take care,
Rebecca

Count me in! I would love to knit another Cookie pattern in lieu of the monkey socks. Love the monkeys, but like you, I'd like something else, too.

Congrats on the wedding!

I would so love to participate if we did another Cookie A sock pattern. I was debating if I would join again because I was not sure I wanted to do another monkey sock but a cookie a pattern would be awesome.

I think another Cookie A. pattern would be a lot of fun - it could be a fun surprise picking a new pattern!

Suggestions for inclusions:

Something from the town you live in as a goodie -- a postcard, or something that is typical of where you are from, or local yarn. Whatever!

Wow this sound like a bunch of fun. Maybe we could make one of the patterns that our partner would love to own and then send another pattern to add to their collection. Plus some goodies from out local area, along with monkey stuff too.

You can count me in also. I would love to try a different Cookie A pattern. I hope they are as easy to do as the monkeys themselves are. I too do not think I am up to the knee high Germans. Goodies from your area is a neat idea to add to the package. This swap is one of the most fun. I will be checking back so as not to miss out on it.
Now I am ready to go and put a looong blog entry in.

I want to play, too! I think it would be fun to knit any Cookie A. pattern, since several of us now have a "collection"!

Congratulations on the wonderful summer you have coming up!!

Count me in for the next swap!

I think it might be fun to be able to knit any pattern, not just Cookie A patterns. Some knitters may be fairly new to the craft; because of that, they might not feel comfortable with those patterns yet. Allowing everyone to chose their own patterns also allows people to stay within their comfort zone and send something they're proud of.

Just my thoughts.
